Convert JPG to PNG online.
Create a PNG copy of a JPG image and optionally resize it before download.
Convert a JPG into a PNG when you need a lossless output format
PNG is useful for screenshots, graphics, interface elements and workflows that specifically require PNG. Converting a JPG to PNG does not recreate quality already lost through JPG compression, but it does give you a lossless PNG file for further editing or repeated saving.
You can keep the original dimensions or enter a width, height or ratio before converting. If you also enter a size target, SizeFix will report whether the generated PNG meets it; PNG is lossless, so strict size targets may require reducing dimensions.
Local processing for everyday files
The normal JPG-to-PNG conversion happens in your browser. That keeps the workflow fast and avoids a separate server upload for routine images.
JPG to PNG FAQs
Does PNG automatically make the image transparent?
No. A JPG has no transparency information, so converting it to PNG does not remove the background. Use the Background Remover if you need a transparent portrait-style cut-out.
Why can the PNG be larger than the JPG?
PNG is lossless and often produces larger files for photographs. JPG is usually more efficient for photos.
Can I resize before converting?
Yes. Enter the required pixel dimensions or ratio and SizeFix will validate the output.
